Kumi Cat's donations did not start as a marketing idea. Our four-legged friends were part of our lives long before this brand.

How it started
For our founder Yasemin Celiloğlu, getting close to an animal was almost impossible for years because of severe allergies. For a long time she could only feed the animals on the street. After treatment, her first dog Kuki joined the family and was one of them for 16.5 years, passing a love of animals on to the whole family.

From the street, from shelters, from a hard start
Every animal in this home today came from the street, a shelter or a hard start in life. Zeytin weighed 300 grams when she was found; she pulled through difficult treatment and is now the face of Kumi Cat. Helva came from the Çorlu shelter. Burhan had been abandoned outside an apartment building.

Why donating is such a natural step
Kumi Cat was born with the intention of being a source of hope for every animal that is hurting, abandoned or waiting for a little love. Anyone who shares their home with animals knows what runs out every day in care homes: food, medicine and litter.
We make litter, so we started with litter.
Our first recorded donation was a truckload of Kumi Cat litter on 3 September 2026, delivered to ENCANDER, which cares for disabled and vulnerable animals in Istanbul. You can find the details in this post.

How we record our donations
Date and recipient
Every donation is recorded with the organisation it reached and when.
Quantity
We share the quantity on the delivery or weighing document. When we express it as “so many months of litter for so many cats”, we state the assumption we used.
